Target Audience
Native and non-native teachers from Upper Primary (12 +) to adults
You need an intermediate and above level of English to participate in this course.

Course Summary

This short, highly intensive methodology course is for teachers who wish to update their knowledge and deepen their experience of state of the art language teaching methodologies. The course will offer you a wide range of practical activities based upon modern, leading edge approaches to teaching and learning languages.

On the first Monday of your course, you and your group will review the course content with your trainer. As far as possible, group needs will be taken into consideration.

The impact of Corpus Linguistics: Spoken Grammar
The impact of The Lexical Approach
The principled use of Mother Tongue in the classroom
The critical role of Cultural Awareness in language teaching and learning
CLIL (Teaching Other Subjects in English.)

Description of training content:

Preparation
Each applicant to send in action plan 4 weeks before the course outlining hopes and objectives for achievement as a result of attending this course.

Objectives
The course aims to provide an analysis of key issues related to Teacher Training and Teacher Development.

Expected results
As a result of attending this course, the participants will develop the expertise and the skills to design and run their own Teacher Training/Teacher Development sessions.
