Travel Options to Canterbury
If possible, please plan to arrive in Canterbury after 14.00 on the Arrival Day published in your brochure. You may use either of these travel options:

OPTION 1: INDEPENDENT TRAVEL BY PRIVATE TAXI
The following is a list of Taxi companies in Canterbury. Dial +44 1227 followed by one of the numbers below.

Book a private taxi (by telephone or fax) with one of the Canterbury
taxi companies opposite before you leave home.

Give the taxi company your flight number, departure city,
airport of arrival, time of arrival, airport terminal number and your accommodation
address from your confirmation letter.

A tip for the driver (approximately £5) is acceptable but not obligatory. Warning: we recommend booking the taxis above - 'Black Taxis' from the airport will cost £170+.

OPTION 2: INDEPENDENT TRAVEL BY TRAIN/BUS
There are direct connections to Canterbury via London by bus and train from all London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton)
Canterbury is also accessible by train via Ashford International from Paris, Lille and Brussels (Eurostar).
Direct train connections to Canterbury are also available from the ports of Dover, Folkestone and Ramsgate.
