Are you arriving in England early or staying
in England longer after your course? Are you going to
London on the mid weekend of your course? If so , Pilgrims
and Bankside House (part of the London School of Economics)
have agreed a special price for Bankside's accommodation
in central London.
WHERE IS BANKSIDE HOUSE?
24 Sumner Street, London, SE1 9JA The residence is situated
on the south bank of the River Thames, near the Globe
Theatre and opposite the new Tate Gallery. From here it
is just a short journey into the centre of London with
its shops, theatres, useums and amusements. Bankside House
is within easy walking distance of Blackfriars station
(District and Circle underground lines), London Bridge
(Northern underground line) and Southwark (Jubilee underground
line) making most parts of central London easily accessible.
Waterloo (with its new international terminal), and Blackfriars
rail stations are 10-15 minutes' walk away.

WHAT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Bankside House can accommodate 807 people in single, twin
and triple rooms, either with en-suite toilet/shower facilities
or with one bathroom shared between 2 rooms. In addition
to the ground floor restaurant (open daily) there is a
bar, games room and several television rooms situated
in the lower ground floor along with a coin-operated launderette
and ironing room. Nearby, the Globe Theatre complex and
several pubs offer excellent places to eat.
