Pilgrims will place you with a family - either near the centre
of Canterbury or near a bus route – although Pilgrims
cannot always guarantee that this will be possible.
•
Your host family accommodation includes your own bedroom.
•
Bathroom facilities are shared with your host family.
•
Bed linen and towels are provided and these are changed
regularly.
•
Some host families have more than one single room.
•
You may have another student staying in the same host
family. Pilgrims, however, will try to ensure this student
will be of a different mother tongue.
Your host family accommodation includes bed, breakfast and evening
meal with the family every day. Morning/afternoon
tea and coffee, Monday to Friday, are provided at the Course
Centre. Lunch is not included. Your host family accomodation is from Sunday to
Saturday morning. Extra night's host family accomodation is not available.
Please go to www.canterbury.co.uk for
information about accommodation in Canterbury.
Course Materials
Materials will be partly tailor-made for the group by your Pilgrims
trainers.
These will be supplemented by photocopies from published and
primary sources
(e.g. newspapers). All materials are included in your course
fees.
Your Course Certificate
•
On successful completion of your Pilgrims training course,
you will receive a Pilgrims certificate, stating the title,
the main contents, dates and location of your course.
•
Course contents will reflect the work you have done
and your main trainer will be named on your certificate.
•
A total of 27 clock hours per week is also included
on your certificate. This meets with the requirements
of most funding bodies (like Socrates).
